Senior Credit Risk Analyst

The Role
 
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective credit systems and scorecards
  • Use Champion/Challenger to identify optimum strategies
  • Track the effectiveness of the scoring systems, strategies, policy rules, and referral decisions
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of management information that monitors the effectiveness of the credit process
  • Track the performance of (credit revenues, bad debt, and contribution).
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Financial Services Commercial teams to ensure that there is consistency between marketing and credit strategy
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of daily, weekly and monthly report packs
  • Maintain and develop credit revenue forecasting models
  • Ensure there are effective processes and procedures for handling manual referrals
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required
  • Participate in or manage system development and other projects as required
  • Ensure the accurate forecasting of Credit Reference Agency costs and reconciliation of invoices
  • Influence the achievement of Account Management P&L
  • Influence & support the process for budget and forecasting of Account Management P&L.
 
The Candidate
 
  • Graduate level (numerate subject)
  • Excellent numerical, statistical and analytical skills
  • Excellent P.C. skills and experience of Business Objects (SQL, SAS or similar packages)
  • Experience in Consumer Credit risk (Account Management an advantage)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Appreciation of credit legislation, e.g. Consumer Credit Act
